FINDINGS:
Large indirect inguinoscrotal hernia containing bowel
PROCEDURE:
Dissected down to and through External Oblique Aponeurosis
Hernial sac identified
Herniation reduced
Sac suture transfixed
Deep ring tightened
Soft mesh 10x15cm cut to size
Secured with Tacs and sutures
New superficial ring created
Hemostasis ensured
CLOSURE:
Subcutaneous 2.0 vicryl sutures
Clips to skin
POST OPERATIVE INSTRUCTIONS:
Observations Q4H
Diet: Eat and Drink as tolerated
LMWH at 22:00 hours
