FEMORAL HERNIA REPAIR (OPEN) (McVay)
Indication: Femoral hernia. McVay (Cooper's ligament) repair used when mesh is contraindicated (contaminated field, strangulation with ischaemia). Closes both femoral and inguinal spaces. Requires a relaxing incision to reduce tension.
Patient Position: Supine.
Anaesthesia: General or regional.
