FINDINGS: Mobile sigmoid colon easily reaching anterior abdominal wall.

PROCEDURE:
Supraumbilical 10mm port via modified Hasson technique.
Right iliac fossa and suprapubic 5mm ports under direct vision.

Sigmoid colon mobilised with laparoscopic Ligasure.
Left iliac fossa stoma incision. Colon mobilised through incision without tension.
No twist confirmed under direct vision. Haemostasis achieved.
Rectus sheath closed with J-PDS. 3-0 Monocryl to skin.
Loop colostomy formed and secured with 2-0 Vicryl Rapide.

POST-OPERATIVE INSTRUCTIONS:
Eat and drink as tolerated. Mobilise. Stoma nurse review.
